A user experience toolbox can consist of many deliverables when performing the role of user experience designer. Such deliverables include wireframes, information architecture, user persona, user journey maps, data visualization, analytics and more.
Below are samples from past projects of different tools I used to tell a story during the standard development lifecycle for different user interfaces. Many of the user interfaces were for web applications, mobile applications, websites, portals, and intranets. For some of my projects, I had to be aware of HIPPA and ADA compliance guidelines.
User Persona
A persona, in user-centered design and marketing, is a fictional character created to represent a user type that might use a site, brand, or product in a similar way.
User Journey Map
A user journey map is a great tool in your UX toolkit to help visualize an individual’s relationships with a product/
Information Architecture
Information architecture is the structural design of shared information environments; the art and science of organizing and labeling websites, intranets, online communities, and software.
Wireframes
Wireframes are created for the purpose of arranging elements to best accomplish a particular purpose. The purpose is usually being informed by a business objective and a creative idea.
Data Visualization
Data visualization is the graphic representation of data. It involves producing images that communicate relationships among the represented data to viewers of the images.
